The Regional Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death for a person found dead at the Union Animal Shelter on Tuesday.
According to authorities, the person was found inside the shelter unconscious and unresponsive between noon and 1 p.m.
According to city officials, the victim was identified as an employee but no other information was available.
The investigation is ongoing.
