Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L. C. Kuberiet and Chief Darren LaVigne of the South Amboy Police Department said today that police are investigating the death of a South Amboy man, which occurred last night in the City.
Officials said Mr. Robert Spiegel, 32, of South Amboy died Friday, the victim of apparent stab wounds.
The South Amboy Police responded to the area of the South Amboy Train Station, located at 140 N Broadway, at approximately 9:14 pm last night.
Upon arrival, the police found the victim lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:37 pm from his injuries.
The homicide is being investigated by the South Amboy Police Department, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, and assisted by the New Jersey Transit Police.
The investigation is active and is continuing.
