The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office has taken the lead in investigating a stabbing that left a person dead in Trenton on Wednesday night.
It happened around 9 p.m. in the 800 block of Beatty Street.
Police arrived and found an unidentified male suffering a stab wound in his back at that location.
The victim was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment but was pronounced dead by medical professionals at the hospital.
According to reports, the victim is a juvenile, but the circumstances behind the stabbing has not been made available at this time.
Police reported no arrests in the incident.
