The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office are investigating a shooting incident that left one person dead in Paterson Saturday morning.
Police responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of Hillman Street and East Mian Street around 1:15 a.m.
Arriving officers found the unidentified victim suffering a bullet wound in their chest and began administering CPR. Police said a shotgun was found near the victim.
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead shortly after the shooting.
Authorities announced no arrests in the shooting, and the investigation remains active.
