Authorities in Atlantic County announced that a Mays Landing man has died in Hamilton Township, and a homicide investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office is ongoing.
According to ACPO officials, on March 2nd, at approximately 7:21a.m., the Hamilton Township Police responded to the area of Hamilton Green Apartments for a 911 dispatch.
Atlantic County officials said that on scene, Kevin Schmalz, 28, of Mays Landing, was pronounced deceased as the result of an apparent gunshot wound.
There is no threat to the public due to this incident, ACPO authorities say.
