Deadly Multi-Vehicle Crash on NJ Turnpike in Union County Under Investigation

New Jersey State Police are investigating the cause of a deadly multi-vehicle crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Union County.LegalEmergency responders and state troopers were dispatched to the southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike near milepost 96.4 in Linden after receiving reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles.

Upon arrival, authorities found a crash involving approximately four cars. One vehicle contained an occupant who was trapped and severely injured.

Tragically, one individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

At least two others sustained injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening and were treated by medical personnel.

To facilitate the investigation, police temporarily closed several lanes and diverted traffic in the area.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not released additional details at this time.Legal
