Hudson County authorities are investigating a fatal crash that took place Thursday morning in Jersey City, leaving a motorcyclist dead.
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit, along with the Jersey City Police Department, is handling the investigation.
The incident occurred around 8:55 a.m. near the intersection of Sip Avenue and Routes 1&9.
Responding officers found that a motorcycle, ridden by 43-year-old Steven Brown of Jersey City, had collided with a GMC passenger vehicle.
Brown was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 10 a.m.
