Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a man found dead yesterday on Ege Avenue.
Police responded to a house in the area of Ege Avenue sometime around 5 p.m. for an unconscious man flopped over the wrought-iron fence.
The man has not been identified. Police describe him as a male, possible in his 40's, wearing a plaid shirt, sneakers and in possession of a backpack.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and removed shortly after 7 p.m.
It is unclear at this time, how or when the man died.
Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Gene Rubino and the Jersey City police are handling the investigation.
