Since living in New Jersey, we've been enjoying making new experiences at new 'spots.'
One of the things we aim to do each week or so is to break out of our routine and environment and go somewhere new.
We used to do this all the time before coming to the east coast, but after the pandemic, we got accustomed to being home and were fine with staying in our routine until we weren't.
We realized that adding some variety to our work experience or even our date nights/date days doesn't take a significant change.
This is how we found one of our fav spots. One day while getting new tires on our car, we decided to walk around the quaint neighborhood of Verona, NJ.
We hoped to find a coffee shop to fill our desire to get out of sitting in the tire shop's waiting room. (Because, who wants to do that?) We were delighted to find that we didn't have to go far!
To our surprise, we found Blue Hippo Coffe Shop just a few short blocks away. It's a well-lit space with comfortable seating, good service, and a great ambiance.
It's just a cool vibe.
Not only that, we knew they paid attention to the details when our hot drinks arrived accompanied by the light fare. We had a cafe mocha and matcha tea with almond milk (and honey on the side).
On the side came a buttery croissant and a fresh blueberry muffin.
Since that initial visit, we've frequented often. So often that the owner, Sam, knows our drinks by heart. We've also had other goodies like their fresh Caesar salad (that comes with either chicken or salmon) and their delicious turkey panini.
Blue Hippo gets it right.
Although we started going there as a local 'getaway' spot, as marriedpreneurs who work from our home offices, it's nice to have a chill spot to work from, meet colleagues, and not worry about missing out on good service and good food.
If you're in the North Jersey area and looking for a spot like this, come through, you just might run into us when you're there!
Here's to living purposefully, powerfully, and profitably in sync,
