Crossroads will be hosting a benefit this coming Saturday, September 11, for Cranford residents Josh Newberg & Christina Wichoski, who were severely impacted by Hurricane Ida.
Just days before Hurricane Ida swept through New Jersey, Christina lost her beloved father, Kenneth Wichoski. Once the storm hit, she and Josh then lost a majority of their home and belongings due to damages from the storm.
Josh, Christina, their two children and their dog were rescued by boat as the basement and the first floor of their home were left underwater. They lost everything from furniture and major appliances to their family car.
Crossroads is looking to raise $10,000 to help support Josh and Christina as they recover from the loss of Christina’s father and the loss of a majority of their home and belongings.
Donations will be collected at the door for a night of live music, food, and drinks benefitting the family.
The benefit will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 6:00 p.m. at Crossroads, located at 78 North Avenue in Garwood.
