Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 9:36 p.m., on Friday evening police responded to the area of 48 East Railway Avenue in Paterson, in response to a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle.
Accoridng to police, a 2017 Mercedes Benz C300, driven by a 29 year old Wayne man was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 48-year-old Fair Lawn man, suffered serious injuries, and is being treated at a local hospital, in critical condition.
Police say the driver of the Mercedes did not suffer any injuries, and remained on scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
