Police in Union County are looking into the cause of a crash that injured a person on a highway in Union County on Friday morning.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the collision happened around 1:20 a.m. on NJ-24 in Springfield.
Officers arrived and found the crashed vehicle with a person inside the car suffering a massive leg injury.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital for treatment and underwent surgery while police closed a portion of the highway for the investigation.
Our morning staff could only confirm life-threatening injuries as of 3:30 a.m.
The cause of the crash has not been determined.
