A violent crash sent a car airborne landing into the yard of a house Friday afternoon.
Police say Friday, shortly before 4:00 pm, a vehicle was traveling northbound on Hillside Avenue at a high rate of speed struck two trees and rolled over to a final rest on the front lawn of 996 Hillside Avenue.
According to authorities, the 38-year-old male driver lost control prior to getting to the intersection of Prospect Avenue.
The male, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was rushed to an area hospital in "grave" condition police said.
There were no other individuals injured police said.
The Plainfield Police Traffic Unit will continue to investigate.
