FREEHOLD – A motorcycle rider has died as the result of a collision with a construction vehicle Monday morning in Neptune Township, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Officials say Martin Alvarez, 29, of Brick, was riding a Kawasaki ZX-6 motorcycle westbound on Route 33, at approximately 8:50 a.m. when he collided with a construction vehicle that was pulling out onto Route 33 Eastbound.
Officials say Flores Pajrol, 32, of Toms River, was operating the construction truck at the time of the collision.
Alvarez was pronounced deceased at the scene at 9:03 a.m.
Pajrol was uninjured in the crash according to officials.
The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, and Neptune Township Police Department and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART).
