Firefighters and rescue crews extricated a man from a vehicle that crashed in in Newark's East Ward early this morning.
The single-car accident happened in the 40's block of Rutherford Street at around 2 a.m. where emergency responders found the one person trapped inside a car that struck a gate at that location.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
