Police in Newark are looking into the cause of two separate crashes in which vehicles overturned on NJ-21 in the city Tuesday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, in the first incident, police responded to reports of a crash in the southbound lane just at the ramp to I-78 around 10:20 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found an overturned vehicle with occupants self-extricated and suffering minor injuries.
In the other crash, Belleville emergency responders rushed to the southbound lanes of NJ-21 near exit 5 after receiving reports of a collision at the border.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the overturned vehicle with no occupants trapped inside.
There were no injuries reported in this collision.
