EMS transported a 50-year-old construction worker from Newark to the hospital after he fell from a roof in Union.
According to authorities, at approximately 9:01 this morning, police responded to 828 Hemlock Road after a construction worker reportedly fell from the home.
Upon arrival, police found the conscious and alert construction worker - later identified as Mr. Juan Jesus-Lozano, 50, of Newark - on the ground after falling 15-20 feet.
EMS and Paramedics transported Jesus-Lozano to University Hospital in Newark with facial, leg, and chest injuries.
The worker was currently working as a subcontractor for VTR Construction of Springfield, officials added.
The incident is under investigation by the Township Building Department and OSHA.
