Police officials in Newark announced that Franklin Street, between Mulberry Street and Broad Street, will be closed beginning Wednesday, December 4th through Monday, December 23rd due to construction.
According to police, beginning at 6 a.m. tomorrow, Franklin Street will be closed as part of the Newark Parking Deck project. No through traffic will be permitted along Franklin Street for the period, including weekends.
Due to potential traffic delays resulting from this project, we encourage those traveling in the area to allow extra time and to plan alternate routes.
