NJ Transit officials are investigating a train strike caused that killed a person in Metuchen early Thursday morning.
The incident happened at around 6:40 a.m. on the North East Corridor Line in Metuchen according to officials.
A trespasser entered the tracks and was struck by train number 3701frm New Brunswick causing cancellations on the line, in both directions, according to officials.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
