Community Effort Helps IPA Risk Management Secure $10,000 Donation for Bergen County Veterans

In a show of strong community support, IPA Risk Management has successfully secured a $10,000 donation for the Bergen County Police Chiefs Foundation (BCPCF).AdThis nonprofit organization is dedicated to identifying and supporting the needs of active and retired U.S. military personnel in Bergen County, as well as providing financial aid to their families when needed.

The BCPCF, operated by both active and retired police chiefs alongside associate and honorary life members of the Bergen County Police Chiefs Association, will use the funds for initiatives like temporary housing for veterans in need and year-long meal provisions for two veterans.

The funding journey began with a $5,000 donation from Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance through the 2024 Make More Happen Awards. IPA Risk Management’s story of local partnership with BCPCF was featured on the Make More Happen microsite, giving them the chance to raise an additional $5,000 by rallying community support.

Their campaign goal was met, bringing the total donation to $10,000.

“Recognizing independent agents’ dedication to their communities and nonprofit partners is what the Make More Happen Awards is all about,” said Leslee Ferray, Liberty Mutual Northeast Region Senior Territory Manager. “IPA Risk Management is a shining example of the amazing work independent agents do in the Bergen County area, and we hope sharing inspiring stories motivates others to do the same.”AdIn 2024, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 37 independent agents nationwide for Make More Happen Awards, potentially donating up to $370,000 to nonprofits they support.
