The rain has moved out, but the chill has arrived in Newark and across North Jersey, leaving my friends and family feeling the dramatic drop in temperatures.
After reaching a balmy 64 degrees on Wednesday, Thursday morning ushers in much colder conditions, with wind chills making it feel like the 20s.
In Morris, Sussex, and Passaic counties, residents can expect blustery and even colder conditions.
The silver lining? It will remain dry throughout the day, offering some relief from Wednesday's rain.
If you’re heading out early—whether it’s to walk the dog or commute to work—make sure to bundle up with heavy coats and consider an extra layer for your furry friends.
According to the National Weather Service, today’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 40 degrees. West winds at 13 to 18 mph, with gusts up to 36 mph, will add to the brisk conditions.
Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear, with temperatures dropping to a frigid 23 degrees.
Stay warm, New Jersey, and enjoy your Thursday!
