As we head into the weekend, Newark and the North Jersey region are anticipating a welcome warmup, offering a brief respite from the recent cold spell.
Today, The National Weather Service said residents can look forward to gradually rising temperatures, providing a more comfortable atmosphere as the day progresses.
However, the morning starts with a chill, reminding us that winter is still in the air.
Friday's forecast brings partly sunny skies with a high nearing 45 degrees. The wind remains light and variable, making for a pleasantly mild day.
The night follows suit, staying partly cloudy with a low of around 37 degrees. Humidity is at 73%, with calm winds and a barometer reading of 30.10 inches, setting the stage for a serene evening.
Saturday promises even warmer conditions, with temperatures climbing up to 55 degrees. However, this warmth will be short-lived.
According to The National Weather Service, residents should prepare for a significant change on Sunday, as heavy rain is expected to sweep through the region.
This turn in the weather marks the end of the brief warm spell, ushering in a wetter and potentially cooler phase.
