Newark and the surrounding areas in North Jersey are experiencing another cloudy and muggy day. Temperatures are currently at 76 degrees.
Residents can expect light drizzle in some parts of the region, adding to the day's humid feel.
The National Weather Service reports a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 86 degrees. Winds will be from the west at 5 to 8 mph.
As the day transitions into the evening, NWS officials said the clouds will dissipate, setting the stage for clearer skies.
Thursday night will see mostly cloudy conditions early in the evening, followed by gradual clearing. Temperatures are expected to drop to a cooler 66 degrees overnight.
Residents are encouraged to enjoy their day despite the humidity, with the promise of beautiful, clear weather just on the horizon for tomorrow.
