Newark residents are waking up to a cloudy and muggy Saturday morning, with temperatures at a mild 66 degrees.
While the day starts clear, rain is on the way, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Spot showers are expected between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., though the rain won't be a total washout. However, keeping an umbrella handy is recommended as there is an 80% chance of precipitation later in the day.
The forecast also calls for possible thunderstorms during the afternoon.
Temperatures will reach a high of around 75 degrees and winds from the south at 5 to 13 mph.
Tonight, NWS forecasters say there is a 30% chance of showers before 8 p.m., with mostly cloudy skies giving way to the gradual clearing.
Temperatures will drop to a low of around 53 degrees.
Enjoy your Saturday, Newark, and be prepared for changing weather conditions!
