Clear Start, Cold Sunday Morning in Newark While NWS Predicts Rain for Thanksgiving Day

Newark residents are waking up to a clear but chilly Sunday morning. The skies are expected to remain clear until around 8 a.m. when cloud cover will begin to roll in.supportAccording to the National Weather Service (NWS), brisk conditions are expected to persist throughout the day across the North Jersey region.

Bundle up with a warm coat, scarf, and hat if you’re heading out to early church services or morning errands. Temperatures at sunrise, which is at 6:54 a.m., will be around 41 degrees.

As the day progresses, NWS forecasters say temperatures will climb to a high near 52 degrees.

West winds of 11 to 16 mph will bring gusts as high as 33 mph, keeping conditions crisp despite the sunshine.

Tonight, expect mostly clear skies with a low of around 38 degrees. Looking ahead, rain is in the forecast for Thanksgiving Day, so residents should plan accordingly.
