New Jersey State Police troopers took one person into custody after a pursuit that ended in a crash in Newark Tuesday night.
According to preliminary reports, police began to follow a vehicle where the driver refused to pull over for officers.
Police say the driver sped through several streets in newark but came to a crashing halt near the intersection of South 7th Street and 13th Avenue at around 8:40 p.m.
A civilian suffered non-life threatening injuries during the crash and the suspect was apprehended a short time later.
There were n injuries to police officers according to authorities.
