Newark and the North Jersey region are starting the day on a brisk note, with temperatures at 41 degrees in downtown Newark as residents prepare to wrap up the workweek and head into the weekend.
If you’re heading out early for work or school, you’ll want to grab a coat, as the morning remains cold.
However, relief is on the way as temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-50s with plenty of sunshine throughout the day.
Winds will remain light, creating a pleasant transition into the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service:
- Today: Mostly cloudy in the morning, gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 56. North wind around 6 mph, shifting east in the afternoon.
- Tonight: Areas of drizzle and fog developing after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41.
With milder conditions ahead, it’s a great day to get outside and enjoy the sunshine before weekend weather changes roll in.
