Chilly Start to March in Newark, North Jersey Region, Warmer Afternoon Ahead

As the clock strikes 4:30 a.m. on the first day of March, residents in Newark and across North Jersey are waking up to below-freezing temperatures.AdDespite the cold start, relief is on the horizon as the day progresses.

Although the morning chill may linger, the forecast promises a nicer afternoon ahead. However, a persistent breeze in North Jersey will continue to make it feel cooler than the actual temperature.

Clear skies are expected throughout the day, offering ample sunshine to lift spirits.

With the radar indicating rain in the forecast for tomorrow, residents are advised to enjoy today's pleasant weather while it lasts.

The National Weather Service said daytime temperatures are expected to reach a high near 45 degrees, with a light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

NWS forecasters say that increasing clouds are anticipated tonight, accompanied by a 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 5 a.m.AdThe overnight low is forecasted to be around 36 degrees.

While it's advisable to dress warmly for the morning, residents can look forward to shedding some layers as the day progresses, taking advantage of the warmer afternoon temperatures.
