Chilly Start to Earth Day in Newark, Frost Advisories in Place in North Jersey

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

My friends and family in Newark and the North Jersey region are experiencing a cooler Earth Day morning, with temperatures starting at 42 degrees.NinosAccording to the National Weather Service, the region is expected to warm up as the day progresses, reaching into the 60s.

Frozen advisories have been issued, particularly in Sussex County, prompting residents in northern New Jersey to bundle up against the brisk conditions.

The day promises clear skies with a sunny outlook and a high near 61 degrees, accompanied by a northwest wind blowing at 8 to 13 mph.

NWS forecasters say the skies will remain clear tonight, and temperatures will dip to a low of around 43 degrees.

The west wind will slow to 5 to 7 mph before becoming calm after midnight, setting the stage for a peaceful night.

As the community enjoys the pleasant weather, we also extend a warm Happy Passover to our Jewish family and friends who are celebrating this special evening.
