As the new week begins, the good news is that a warming trend is on the way, starting today.

Kids heading to school will need jackets and perhaps even hats for the brisk morning, but temperatures will rise as the day progresses.

According to the National Weather Service, plenty of sunshine will bring warmth by lunchtime, with a high near 78 degrees expected.

A west wind of 5 to 10 mph will accompany the sunny skies.

Tonight, expect partly cloudy conditions with a low of around 59 degrees.

Once we get through the chilly morning, the day will shape up to be a pleasant one with sunshine to enjoy in the afternoon.Puerto Rican
