As we edge closer to Christmas, my friends and family in Newark and the broader North Jersey region are waking up to a brisk Thursday morning, with temperatures hovering around 42 degrees.
Despite the clear skies, a persistent chilly breeze is making it feel considerably colder, particularly as the day progresses.
According to the National Weather Service, areas such as Sussex, Morris, and Passaic counties will experience even colder conditions due to the breeze.
Today's weather is forecasted to remain mostly sunny with highs near 44 degrees, accompanied by a northwest wind blowing at 6 to 9 mph.
Tonight, the region can expect an increase in cloudiness, with temperatures dropping to a low of around 31 degrees.
Residents are advised to dress warmly to cope with the cooler temperatures and brisk winds that define this mild winter atmosphere.
