Firefighters in Mercer County responded to a fast-moving blaze early Saturday morning that left two children and another individual injured.
The fire broke out in a three-story wood-framed house in the 700 block of Beatty Street shortly before 4 a.m., quickly engulfing the structure.
When crews arrived, they encountered heavy fire and reports of victims trapped on the third floor.
Firefighters acted swiftly, stretching multiple lines to combat the flames while others entered the building to rescue those inside.
Two young children were found suffering from smoke inhalation and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Another unidentified victim was also taken to a medical center, though the extent of their injuries remains unconfirmed.
As of 4:20 a.m., firefighters were still battling the blaze, which had not yet been declared under control.
Crews continued to search the burning home for additional victims while working to extinguish the flames.
The cause of the fire is under active investigation, with updates expected as more information becomes available.
