A child found walking alone early this morning in a neighborhood in the township has authorities investigating.
According to residents, the female child (who was reported to be around the age of 5-years-old) was walking alone in the area of Webber Place and Lincoln Place at around 4:00 a.m. after leaving her home.
Police and EMS arrived to scene when residents contacted authorities after witnessing the child crying and walking alone residents said.
The "visually distraught" girl was taken by EMS where it was determined that she resided at an unpublished home address on Lincoln Place residents said.
A further investigation found that the girl was home alone and exited when she reportedly became frightened.
It is not clear if the child's parents/guardians were ever found.
Police did not respond to requests for information.
