A pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle last night in Brick has police investigating.
Police and rescue crews were called to the NJ-70 at Burnt Tavern Road before 11 p.m. after they received reports of a person struck by a vehicle at that location.
Emergency responders found the victim seriously injured and transported them to an area hospital where the victim died a short time later.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
**UPDATE: 8:53 a.m.** This was an unidentified child on a bicycle fatally struck.
