Valdes has reported charges against Johnny Aguilar, a 32-year-old resident of Carlstadt, in connection with a deadly car crash that took place on September 20 at the intersection of Paulison Avenue and Pennington Avenue in Passaic. NinosAguilar is facing charges of second-degree Death by Auto following a collision that resulted in the death of 59-year-old Carlos Oscario-Rodriguez.

According to authorities, the Passaic Police Department responded to a call about a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Paulison and Pennington Avenues.

Upon arrival, officers found Oscario-Rodriguez, who had been riding his motorcycle through the intersection, lying in the roadway. He had been struck by a Ford Excursion driven by Aguilar.

The victim was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators revealed that Aguilar’s blood alcohol content was above the legal limit at the time of the crash.

Aguilar is currently in custody and awaiting his initial court appearance at Central Judicial Processing.

If convicted, the second-degree Death by Auto charge carries a potential sentence of 5 to 10 years in prison.
