A report of carbon dioxide tank leak at Red Lobster on Route 22 this morning had firefighters and County Hazmat on the scene.
Union County Hazardous Materials Unit and the Union Township Health Department and firefighters responded to investigate the possibility of a CO2 gas leak.
The building was ventilated and the carbon dioxide tanks that were in the building have been removed until the entire CO2 delivery and detection system can be evaluated authorities said.
Management were told that tanks located within the building had to have a detection system installed in case there is a leak.
The building has been deemed safe and the situation is under control.
There were injuries reported.
