Police in Elizabeth are on the search for the suspect who took a vehicle from a location in Elizabeth overnight.
Officers were called to the Elizabeth Avenue near 6th Street to investigate a report of a car theft that occurred in that vicinity.
Upon their arrival, police were made aware that a suspect entered a vehicle, that was left running by the driver, and sped away.
The vehicle was only described as a 2018 Toyota Camry.
There is an active and ongoing investigation.
