NJ State Police officials are investigating a crash that occurred on a Union County highest Saturday night.
Officials say the crash occurred Saturday night at 11:19 pm on th Garden State Parkway northbound lanes in the area of milepost 138.7 in Cranford.
According to State Police, the collision involved a Black Honda Civic and a Gray Nissan Altima.
The two occupants of the Civic were trapped and had to be extricated from the car.
Police say they sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to UMDNJ in Newark for evaluation.
The driver of the Nissan was not injured.
All lanes were reopened at 12:30 am. and the cause of the wreck is under investigation.
