Firefighters in Hillside made fast work out of a raging fire that ignited a car on a highway in NJ on Friday morning.
Fire engulfed the unoccupied vehicle that was in the westbound express lanes near exit 52 in Hillside at around 10:30 a.m.
The fire caused delays for over a mile on the highway as police closed off lanes so that firefighters could extinguish the blaze.
Crews checked for trapped occupants inside the car which came back negative, and no injuries were reported.
