Police in Elizabeth are investgiating a crash that had the driver of a car slam into the rear of a tractor trailer on Route 1&9 in Elizabeth on Saturday night.
According to preliminary reports, the crash happened just before midnight at 570 Spring Street when the driver of a car and lone occupant crashed into the rear of the truck that was reportedly parked on the side of the roadway.
Several good samaritans -who were at the Wawa's- crossed the highway to assist the driver from the vehicle who was transported to the hospital by EMS in an unconfirmed condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Elizabeth Police Department.
