A collection box designated to assist victims of cancer was swiped from a Newark Ironbound bakery in early June according to authorities.
Now Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose is requesting the public’s help with identifying the suspect who is seen on surveillance video allegedly taking the jar.
According to authorities , on June 8, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a suspect stole a cancer collection box from a bakery in the 100 Block of Ferry Street.
Police are actively searching for the suspect, and is asking for the public’s assistance in quickly locating him.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
