Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson announced a city teenager has pleaded guilty in connection with a 2014 shooting.
Khalil Wilkins, 19, of Camden, faces a 14-year state prison sentence after pleading guilty on Monday to one count of attempted murder. He will be required to serve at least 85 percent of this sentence before being eligible for parole.
Wilkins was accused of shooting a then-18-year-old Camden man multiples times in the area of Morgan Boulevard and Olive Street in Camden on the afternoon of April 28, 2014.
The defendant was 17 at the time of the shooting and was later waived to adult court.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 1.
