Camden County Investigation Leads to Arrest of FL Man Charged with Explicit Images of Minors

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle announced an Ocala, Florida man was arrested and charged Oct. 27 for the possession of Explicit Images of Minors and multiple counts of molestation of young boys in a cooperative multi-jurisdictional investigation.

Gloucester Township Police Department Detectives received information that a 13-year-old boy was receiving sexually explicit images from an unknown adult male via his Facebook account on Sept. 8th.

Gloucester Township Police Detectives subpoenaed the adult’s Facebook account and contacted the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit for assistance.  Once the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit located the physical address derived from the adult male’s IP address, the investigation was placed under supervision of the High Tech Crimes Task Force Officer, Special Agent (SA) Kimberlee Gautier, Homeland Security Investigation – Cherry Hill.  SA Gautier was able to identify the adult male as Andrew Antonio Davila, 20, of the 2700 block of SW 17th Circle, Ocala, Florida. 

This information was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations – Orlando, Florida.

Upon meeting with Davila, Homeland Security Investigation – Orland discovered that Davila was in possession of several pornographic images of children on his computer. During questioning at his home by Special Agents, Davila confessed to ownership of the pornographic images of children. 

Davila also advised authorities that he was a babysitter for several children.  When questioned if he had ever had physical contact with the children he babysat, Davila admitted that he had sexually molested several of the children that he had photographed. 

All of the victims in this investigation were male and under the age of 12.

Davila was taken into custody by detectives from Homeland Security Investigations – Orlando without incident and charged with four counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a Child Under 12 Years of Age.

He was remanded to the Marion County, Florida Jail without bail.
