Jersey City police are looking into an early morning commercial burglary that occurred at a gas station on Sunday.
At approximately 5:20 a.m., police were called to the Exxon Gas Station located in the 3100 block of John F. Kenndy Boulevard to investigate reports of a burglary in progress.
Upon arrival, police say an unidentified person forced entry into the establishment and stole about $500 in cash and $900 in cigarettes before fleeing the scene.
The assailant fled the scene with the cash and good and remained at large.
The incident is under investigation by the Jersey City Police Department.
