Police in Jersey City are on the search for a suspect wanted for breaking into a cell phone store in Jersey City during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, police received information of a burglary in progress that occurred at 572 West Side Avenue just before 12:45 a.m.
Upon their arrival, officers found that entry was made into the Boost Mobile store sometime after the establishment closed for business. Reports say the suspect vandalized store surveillance cameras before making off with thousands of dollars worth of merchandise before fleeing the scene.
Jersey City Police has not reported an arrest at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
