There were no injuries reported in a shots-fired incident that occurred in a section of Jersey City Monday evening.
According to police, several 911 called into headquarters reporting shots fired had officers focus their attention in the area of Armstrong Avenue and Rose Street at approximately 6:40 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene found several shell casings and a vehicle struck by bullets at that location.
Police say witnesses reported seeing a black male suspect fled the scene wearing a grey hoodie and dark pants immediately after the shooting.
Authorities notified hospitals in the region to be on the lookout for walk-in victims.
There were no victims found after a search for the area, according to police.
