An overnight shooting that caused property damage in Jersey City has police investigating.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out on Martin Luther King Drive near Wade streets where officers arriving at the scene found a car struck by a single bullet at that location.
A further search of the vehicle had police find a male inside the vehicle suffering a minor injury to his chest, but it was not confirmed if gunfire struck the man.
Witnesses observed a black male who wore a light colored hoodie fled the scene in a dark colored SUV.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
