Plainfield Police are reporting a partial building collapse that happened this morning.
According to police, on Thursday, December 23, at approximately 9:33 a.m., Plainfield Police units responded to the 500 Block of South Avenue on the report of a partial building collapse.
Upon arrival, police units determined that a tractor-trailer had struck an awning causing an exterior section of the building's brick wall to collapse. The wall was approximately 30x50 ft.
There are no reported injuries at this time.
The Union County Structural Collapse Task Force and the City of Plainfield's Construction Official have been notified.
