Elizabeth Police are continuing their investigation into a shooting that had a Brooklyn man shot in the face at an unknown location.
According to a brief statement released by Elizabeth city spokesperson Kelly Martin, the incident occurred on July 12th where hospital officials contacted police when a male victim entered the Trinitas Hospital's emergency department bleeding from the face at approximately 8:55 p.m.
Doctors who evaluated the unidentified male confirmed that the victim's injuries were the result of being struck by gunfire according to Elizabeth officials.
According to spokesperson Martin, officers responded to the hospital and found the Brooklyn resident victim who did not share any details of what happened.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
