Bridgeton Biology Teacher Charged with Possession of Explicit Images of Minors

Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Evesham Township Police Chief Christopher Chew announced that a 52-year-old Evesham resident who is employed as a public high school teacher in Cumberland County was arrested today and charged with possession of Explicit Images of Minors.

David L. Rodriguez, of 1205 Roberts Lane in Evesham, was charged with one count of endangering welfare of children.

The case will be presented to a Burlington County Grand Jury to determine whether an indictment should be returned against the defendant.

Rodriguez was taken into custody today at his residence following the execution of a search warrant. He was placed in the Burlington County Jail on $15,000 bail.

Rodriguez, who is employed as a biology teacher at Cumberland Regional High School in Bridgeton, will have a first appearance in Superior Court in Burlington County tomorrow afternoon.

The investigation revealed that Rodriguez used an online cloud service to upload photos and videos depicting Explicit Images of Minors.

Many of the images depicted pre-pubescent and underage boys engaging in sexual acts.
